A project initiated by Interserve Partners, Griha Shiksha is an Indian home schooling programme running since the early 1990s.
2016 saw Griha Shiksha handed over to Good Word Trust to own and run.
The Griha Shiksha programme consists of 6 years of home schooling material from Lower Kindergarten (age 3yrs) to Grade 4 (age 8yrs). Each package includes books and support for the home schooling parents. The programme offers monthly progress reports which are sent in to the office and feedback is given. The course is specifically designed to meet the needs of families serving in remote places where the quality of English education provided in local schools does not meet the requirements of professional families.
